Location : Dusun Laek, Desa Bengkilu, Kecamatan Tujuh Belas, Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.
About 30min ride away from the village of Laek in the Bayang mountain range lies Manajur waterfall. There are many beautiful waterfalls like Manajur in the Bengkayang district as one will find out when driving along the Dwikora Road with the many roadside signages indicating their existence. In fact the Golden Triangle of Kalbar’s 3 districts namely Bengkayang, Landak and Sanggau is blessed with so many impressive crystal clear waterfalls which many locals do not even know about.

On our second day morning, 7 of us on 4 bikes cut across many vegetable farms and along many muddy trails to arrive at the trailhead to the fall.

It was a 10min downhill hike all the way and picking whatever firewood available.

It had a 30m drop with a huge and crystal clear pool. The volume of water was good, producing quite a mist and waves towards the edge of the pool.
The village boys had Joshua to thank for sponsoring a live chicken for the BBQ.

After we had enough of Manajur’s upper and lower tiers, we headed back to the village for the afternoon ‘Nyobeng’ or ‘Nyabakng’ ritual which involved animal sacrifice and the bathing/feeding of the skulls.
