Arriving in Kuching on a 10 day trip on 27th June 2010 afternoon I started treating him on his shoulder which he handled quite well.  But the second session the next day treating his hip and back produced quite an alarming ‘healing crisis’ on the following day that we had to have a day off and a water/fruit fast.  Amazing mental & physical strength from Trevor to pull through that one! alternative medicine, chinese, gua sha, Kuching, Malaysia, massage, muscular problem, Sarawak, tie da, traditional treament, healing, Subsequent treatments lasted longer due to shortage of time and the last couple of days saw vast improvement of strength, flexibility and spirit.  Complete change to vegetarian diet during the period of treatment helped too.  We also took time off for relaxation in the jungle trekking to a waterfall and dipping at Panchor Hotspring.  Not forgetting music therapy when we attended the annual concert of The Rainforest Music Festival.

We wish Trevor a speedy recovery.  alternative medicine, chinese, gua sha, Kuching, Malaysia, massage, muscular problem, Sarawak, tie da, traditional treament, healing,

  1. Hi Sim, Just by chance I came across my testimonial. It’s funny because it brings back lots of lost memories. (I was so tired during the treatment). One year later and I am feeling much much better. I want to add that I was so bad at the time I decided to visit you that I could’nt do any exercise without getting sick). I also used to get home from work (as a school teacher) and have to lie on a hard floor for an hour just to try and release tension from my back. ( It was absolutely hell 24/7 !) My condition is not a normal one and after exhaustive tests doctors still don’t know what exactly caused all the tension as I have been doing sports and stretching all my life. The most probable cause is a long term reaction to lactose intolerance which I was unaware of until just over a year ago. ( And a generally crap western diet!!) I had acne all my life until I stopped eating dairy products.
Anyway, I have continued with a vegetarian diet and am back to being an energetic and more flexible person, my muscles are now looser and respond well to stretching. (A NOTE!!!!!) If you are stretching and it doesn’t work, don’t over stretch as it will lead to more injuries!) Talk to Sim and get advice.
Thanks again Sim and I’ll be in touch.

Hope all is going well in Kuching,

    Trevor

    • Hi Trevor, I know this article is a year late despite the fact you gave your consent since the day you departed from Kuching. We are very happy to hear that you are coping very well your new diet, new body, new lifestyle and a new Trevor! We are also glad at the same time surprised at the discovery of your lactose intolerance being a major factor contributing to your health issues. Was wondering how that could happen when you always have cow milk ever since you were a child. Anyway good that you adjusted well to a vegetarian diet.
All’s well here in Kuching. Look forward to meet you and your family in Borneo.
Stay healthy always…..it’s a lifetime investment!
      Sim

      • Hi Sim, Just to answer your question about having cows milk as a child – funny you should say that because I was not able to drink cows milk as a baby. I had to have goats milk until I was about 3 or 4. The doctors said I had grown out of my intolerance. (Typical ignorance of western doctors) Yes I continued to have dairy for the duration of my child and teen years and had horrendous acne (at this time I thought it was just typical teen acne. I took Roocotane which dries out the skin and has been known to cause teen suicides. Dairy has also been linked to making autistic symtoms much worse in children.
After stopping eating and drinking dairy it took about 3 months for my acne to dissapear. I now only get acne when I eat or drink something with lactose. I tell you Sim we are programmed to believe we need these things as westeners and its all to make big businesses money. The foods, the sicknesses and the medicines, its all a big marketing and sales scam. I lived it for 35 years but now my eyes are open.
        Hope to catch up soon,
        Regards,

Trevor – vegetarian, non dairy and happy!
