St Christopher Church Day in Kampung Sapit, Sarawak

Location : Kampung Sapit, Padawan District, Kuching Division, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Another successfully organised annual event for Kampung Sapit. A very busy and noisy day at the church. Seems like this event is getting more popular with the soccer carzy villages, attracting teams from our Indonesian neighbour, from as far as Gun Tembawang, Gun Jemak, Sidet and even Badat. Could this possibly blossom into the Borneo Derby! We hope so.

The celebration was however marred by a fire which flatten the house of Kakop. Villagers could only watch in horror as the fire consumed his house within minutes under the hot/dry weather and low water pressure. NGOs were quick to help out as we could see donations of cash and kinds poured in the very next day.
