Location : KLB Garden, Tebedu District, Serian Division, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Tucked away at the far end of Tebedu district of Serian division lies quietly the KLB Garden, a multi leisure family park that houses a wide range of flora/fauna, cycling/boating activities, indoor swimming pool, activity hall, restaurant and souvenir shop.

It was our first visit on the first day of the Chinese New Year and pandemic restrictions were still in place which explained the low turn out especially the nearby Indonesians from across the 5min away border of Entikong.

No shows were available on that day. The only activity was the free Chinese Calligraphy with the brush, ink and paper provided for guests to learn calligraphy. Mr and Mrs Kuek the owners were there hands on coaching me on my first ever calligraphy lesson in my life. Was not as easy as I had expected but fascinated nonetheless.

We had our lunch at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian meals available on the menu. How we wished more options were available so we could try them out.

The coffee served which I have reasons to believe must be from Indonesia was the best I have ever tasted. If only kopitiam can serve this awesome coffee in Kuching.

This visit could easily have killed five hours if only we were well prepared or even spent the night camping just for the heck of it. Maybe we will come back again to try whatever we missed out and perhaps bring some food for that lovely friendly bushy crested hornbill.
