Location : Apau Koyan (Bakun Dam Resettlement Site), Belaga District, Kapit Division, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Thanks to Ms Ester Of Uma Baha (formerly called Bakah) and her kind friends for sharing their photos/videos of two great happenings in Belaga, more specifically in the region of Bakun Ressetlement Site also known as Sungai Asap although locals prefer it be called Sungai Koyan. How it came to be called Asap by the Bakun authority the locals are baffled.

Anyway, the two events happening on the 25th-27th October 2019 were :
The Official recognition of the Malaysia’s tallest totem pole in the Guinness Book of records.

The tribes who made Sungai Koyan their new settlement are Kenyah, Kayan, Penan, Ukit and Lahanan. Since this cultural event will be celebrated biennially we should be able to attend in 2021.
