Pak Paeng spoke in very clear Indonesian language and his memory was remarkable in the way he quoted the names of his long past ancestors. We had earlier asked him about the history of ‘nyobeng’. He explained that it was the Bunyit tribe from the sky that taught them everything they needed to know on how to execute the nyobeng ritual.
