Location : Kota Putussibau, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.
In order to drive from Nanga Pinoh to Putussibau, one has to pass by Sintang and Bukit Kelam again. Total distance is 329km. Thanks to the improved network of Pertamina, the main fuel supplier in Indonesia, refueling is a problem of the past. Road condition was also a huge problem but not anymore, credit to Pak Jokowi.

As for food, we stocked enough snacks to last the journey to Putussibau. Anyway, we took a coffee break at the junction to Nanga Silat some 65km away from Sintang.

Good to see transmigrant Javanese selling local cakes along the way. They always come to the rescue wherever we traveled in Kalimantan.

The rest of the journey was equally relaxing, a very good and quiet road. Perfect for those who intend to try cycling from Putussibau to Sintang. I know a Spanish friend is planning to do the Lubuk Antu, Putussibau, Sintang, Sanggau, Entikong loop…….shudder!

Arrived Putussibau, and happen to be Children’s Day celebration. Next…….visit to Mendalam Kayan village.
