Location : Kampung Kumpang Langgir, Engkilili, Lubok Antu District, Sri Aman Division, Sarawak, Malaysia.
First and foremost let us thank our new found friends from Sri Aman, Aizat, Azid, Azman and Lynn for inviting us for a hike to Kemantan Lidi waterfall near an Iban longhouse called Kumpang Langgir, Engkilili.

We had to drive to Sri Aman town the day before and put a night so we could meet up at 7.30 am the next day.
Alternatively, camping ground is available at the first tier which is a short walk away from the longhouse. I would advise the later. It would be more adventurous than staying in a hotel room and a day trip would be too rush as the Pan Borneo is still under construction.

We met up at the Sri Aman junction and drove to Engkilili to buy our packed lunch.

The hike was mostly uphill along a mountain stream. The weather was good that day (Malaysia Day, 16th September) so we did not have to worry about safety.

I lost count of the number of little waterfalls we covered and finally reach the summit at 500m in about 4 hrs, a very slow and relaxing pace that was mostly taken up by mushroom shooting.

Although the waterfalls and trail were just average, the mushrooms here were awesome with the sheer numbers, varieties and colours. Never knew there was such a thing as a mushroom season in Borneo. I would not mind doing it again for the mushrooms!!

A big thank you to all members of the Red Ant Troopers for taking care of our safety thoughout the trip.

Wow those mushrooms are AMAZING! Did you ever find the identification for them?
Thanks, but we have no time to do it.
