Location : Kecamatan Biduk-Biduk, Kabupaten Berau, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia.
There were no night activities available in Biduk-Biduk but getting to bed early was easy because the whole place was so quiet, relaxing and somewhat tranquilising. Although phone calls were not possible, the line was strong enough to do text messaging. Our two nights stay in Biduk-Biduk was regrettably too short and wished we had an extra night. We tried talking to Nur over dinner if we could extend our stay for another night but he had to disappoint us as he already had clients booked for his return trip from Berau to Samarinda. Early next morning while my travel mates were still fast asleep, I toured the village for a bit. There were lots of school kids who were either cycling or walking to school.

Chatted with a guy and after seeing I was interested in shells, he invited me into the house and gave me one of his many Queen Helmet shells as a souvenir.

After breakfast at about 9am we were ready to say goodbye. We dropped by the one and only souvenir shop here but the range was a bit disappointing.

Bought a couple of shell keychains before stopping again at Batu Dua beach for some photos as the dark clouds in the horizon provided such a beautiful backdrop.
