Location : Pulau Pangkor, Perak, Malaysia.
Although there will be tens of touts just outside the jetty upon your arrival at Pangkor jetty trying to rent you their motorcycles, most homestays do rent out bikes too. Priority would be to get to your accommodation without the hassle of your luggage and that is to use the pink taxi van. But if you are a lone traveler with a backpack, just rent a bike for RM20 one of the touts and go towards Telok Nipah to hunt for budget homestays here. Lots of wild Pied hornbills can be seen flying round the housing estate fearless of humans. We explored the southern end of the island as night fell. Stopped by the Dutch fort, the house with a huge rock in the sitting room and a house with a lady selling dried puffer fish. We came across some wild pigs foraging near a rubbish dumpster.
