Location : Kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia.
It was our third day in Palangkaraya and being a Sunday it was perfect going round town without the hassle of traffic. Riding the bike around some of the huge gyratories (roundabout) here among the heavy traffic can be quite stressful. We took the opportunity to see and shoot as much of the town as possible.

This is a place to observe how local families spend time together. Foreign tourists especially hard core animal lovers would definitely frown at those poor animals locked up in cages. Oh well….we didn’t mind, neutral!

Like in all parts of Indonesia, this park has many of those little ‘pondok’ (hut) for rent. Its a very important and interesting feature for families to group together for picnics.

When noon came we procceeded to the hawker centre below the giant bridge where locals gather to have their meals. We loaded up a plate of assorted fritters for lunch.
