Location : Kecamatan Matan Hilir Selatan, Kabupaten Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.
Although not highly recommended as compared to Tanjung Belandang we had no choice as we had too much time in hand. The first flight out to Pangkalan Bun was next morning. Went in search for our breakfast near St Gemma church “Gereja Katedral St. Gemma”. Noticed quite a number of Chinese operated coffee shops selling ‘kopi saring’, the way we like it done. Noticed also a shop selling lots of colourful birds. Wondered how that business could be sustained w/o depleting the bird population.
After breakfast we headed south of Ketapang passing the keraton again. Only this time we tried a side road on the left not knowing what to expect. We carried on till at one point we felt lost as the cluster of houses were getting fewer and more remote. Nevertheless, nothing ventured nothing gained. So we just blindly continued crossing huge flat farming areas with man made canals like the ones we have in Beliong and Asajaya.
Eventually came to an intersection after 30 minutes of bumpy and dusty dirt road. Had to ask for direction to put us back on the loop to Sungai Jawi Beach (10 km from the city).
Pantai Sungai Jawi , is one of the popular spots for spectacular sunset viewing, you can still find many fishermen who set sail from this beach. 
But I must admit that the challenging journey to this beach was more exciting than the beach itself.
