Location : Semadang, Padawan, Kuching Division, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Finding this site is like looking for a needle in a haystack.  Have tried doing it from Semadang side and ending with no clue.  So last weekend decided to bring my friend Milim from Peninjau Lama along and tried from the Bau end using Jambusan Road.  After Milim did some homework at Siniawan with his local friends we finally found the entrance.  Nice big roads some parts with the ugly sight of oil palm estates, oh well.  If you guys want to go there and see with your own eyes then you have to follow the same sequence as the photos in our FACEBOOK PAGE ALBUM with all the signages.

Nice site with view of the Bungoh Range behind and a limestone hill right opposite.  Borneo Highland, Bidayuh, Land Dayak, Sarawak, kuching, native, malaysia, Bengoh Dam, Kampung Semban, Kampung Sait, Kampung Bojong, Kampung Rejoi Borneo Highland, Bidayuh, Land Dayak, Sarawak, kuching, native, malaysia, Bengoh Dam, Kampung Semban, Kampung Sait, Kampung Bojong, Kampung RejoiNames of the 4 villages are retained in their designated areas each with their own community hall and churches. I wonder if the government is going to build a common cultural centre or not.  I think it would be interesting if there’s a baruk, a hanging bamboo bridge, a traditional blacksmith corner a display of different types of traps for wild animals like wild boar,pangolin/porcupine, birds and most interesting is the overhead squirrel bamboo trap.  This should serve as a ‘historical’ reminder of their traditional way of life.Borneo Highland, Bidayuh, Land Dayak, Sarawak, kuching, native, malaysia, Bengoh Dam, Kampung Semban, Kampung Sait, Kampung Bojong, Kampung Rejoi Borneo Highland, Bidayuh, Land Dayak, Sarawak, kuching, native, malaysia, Bengoh Dam, Kampung Semban, Kampung Sait, Kampung Bojong, Kampung Rejoi
