‘Torok’ – Local name (Bidayuh), nobody knows about the English or Malay name of this fruit. It’s a nonspecific seasonal fruit. Torok fruits are white in colour when it is not ripe and turns into red when it is ripe. The flesh inside is white just like mangosteen & it tastes almost like one too but minus the seeds. Some maybe a little sour but the ones I had were sweet.
