A talk organised by Sarawak Biodiversity Centre. Speaker Mr Ong Poh Teck. Although a very humble Mr Ong who reminded us he was an amateur but the stuff he presented especially the videos were truly professional and entertaining. If not for him we would never have known that the sex life of the orchid, as Miss Asha put it, so technical and acrobatic! Too bad we cannot reproduce those amazing videos shot by Mr Ong himself here on our page. By scent or by stench bees, ants or flies are the active partners in the orchid’s pollination. After understanding this process probably amateur orchid enthusiasts can create their own hybrids. Good luck.
