Location : Dusun Gun Tembawang, Desa Suruh Tembawang, Kecamatan Entikong, Kabupaten Sanggau, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.
From Mureh Waterfall we’d a quick breakfast & break camp before 8am so we could make the summit of Mount Berapi by noon. The cloudy sky made our 1hr trek to Mayak’s farm shack less taxing. Off load unnecessary stuff at the shack so we could pickup on the way down. One face of Mount Berapi had a vertical drop of a few hundred meters while the opposite face is 80 degrees inclination with a small & sometimes very dangerous ledge to trek on. 2 & half hours of torturous scaling. Had one of the best lunches in my life up here, took a power nap to make up for the 1hr sleep we had the night before. By this time farmers were all burning their land making it sound like a war zone with burning bamboo exploding nonstop, kind of made us feel like it was Chinese new year. By 7pm we were back in Sapit, crashed right after dinner & slept like babies.
